Laurie,  Milton, Flordia

First of all, I would like to congratulate Kristen on her talent and her passion for photography. My husband and I spent months planning our “bucket-list” trip to Alaska. We planned an Alaskan Land Tour and Cruise for May/June 2026 to celebrate our 44th year wedding anniversary. About a week before we were scheduled to leave for our two-week vacation in Alaska, I started looking through photos from our earlier vacations or trips. I quickly realized we hardly had any photos of just the two of us—only a few bad selfies and tons of scenery and wildlife. I started thinking about how I could get photos of us on vacation without having to ask strangers to use our phone for photos. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I produced the idea of contacting photographers from the different places in Alaska that we were scheduled to visit. I found Kristen’s work on-line, and I reached out to her to see if she would be interested in helping me “document our vacation” and do a photo shoot while we were scheduled to be in Fairbanks. I told her I wanted a fun, casual photo shoot somewhere in Fairbanks. I wanted some professional photos that would hopefully capture the happiness and love my husband and I share. Kristen was very helpful and suggested a few different locations. We discussed landscape ideas and told her I would be visiting different places in Alaska with different types of landscapes. We decided on Creamer’s Field for our location. Kristen was there waiting for us when we arrived. She said, “I’ll be the one holding the camera”. Kristen was very prompt in response to my questions and concerns over timing, clothing choices, and of course, the weather. We only had a short window of opportunity while in town, and she worked hard to make my hopes a reality. The photos Kristen took of us turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. She kept us smiling and laughing the entire time at the photo shoot. She captured the beauty of Alaska and the smiles on our faces and love in our eyes. Thank you again, Kristen, for everything. I will always treasure these photographs and memories.
